Responsible for supporting the planning, development, integration, verification, and implementation of railway signalling systems in compliance with operational, safety, and project requirements. The role involves managing system requirements, supporting project delivery activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with system assurance and railway signalling standards.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Engage with Operations and Maintenance stakeholders to understand, document, and validate requirements for the replacement of existing signalling assets and the acquisition of new signalling assets.
  • Review and update technical specifications and proposals based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring that project objectives, operational requirements, and technical outcomes can be achieved.
  • Lead Systems Assurance and Requirements Management delivery for the project.
  • Carry out detail planning of the disposal/replacement, including the required resources (man, machine, materials and location) that includes those to be provided by others in the company, or third parties.
  • Develop detailed planning for asset disposal or replacement activities, including the identification and coordination of required manpower, equipment, materials, facilities, and third-party resources.
  • Implementation of the proposal upon approval, specifically during the design and delivery stage.
  • Track the progress of the implementation, discuss and to mitigate delays with stakeholders and make updates to the overall planning. Analyse for the cause and propose mitigation where possible
  • Manage project activities across Design, Construction, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), Final Safety Case, Verification & Validation (V&V) Planning and Reporting, Compliance Evidence, and T&C Evidence Review.
  • Prepare necessary documentation to capture vital information where it can be used by others in ensuring performance of the replaced assets during other part of the asset life cycle.
  • Record progress versus expenditure and provide this information to the department HOD for onwards report preparation.
  • Engage in active communication with operations and maintenance department as well as suppliers that all objectives of the implementation is properly understood and avoid mis-matches between objectives and delivery.

 

Job Requirement

  • Degree in Engineering Technology and Transportation or equivalent from recognised university/institution
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in railway industries 
  • Experience in Signalling Systems, ETCS Systems and Requirement Management
  • Experience in Project Management, System Assurance and EN Standard will be added advantages.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiar with condition monitoring methodologies, self-motivated, self-discipline, dependable, innovative, goal oriented, and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work in team and to liaise with other departments and divisions
  • Able to produce technical report, procedures and other related documents
