Job Description

Operations Train Driver responsible to carry out safe train operations, provides courteous and prompt service to customers.

Salary Range

RM1,500 excluding shift allowance & OT [where applicable]

Job Responsibilities 

  • Prepares trains for service by carrying out specified checks
  • Ensure safe operations of trains
  • Ensure when trains are ready to depart safely from platforms
  • Driving train and shunting locomotive on mainline and depot safely
  • Reports to Operations Control Centre (OCC) of any occurrences, which may affect normal operations
  • Carries out operational procedures required for Degraded Operation and Emergency Operation
  • Obeys operational order from the Operations Shift Supervisor (OTS) and OCC
  • Carries out safe train and provides courteous and prompt service to customers
  • To ensure no unauthorised person/s on board driver’s cab
  • Overall in charge for evacuation of passengers in the train during emergency
  • Attend all meetings and trainings specified by the department and company from time to time

Job Requirement

  • Between 22 to 33 years of age
  • Minimum 157 cm of height with proportionate weight
  • Minimum SPM and Pass English
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia [Spoken & Written]
  • Possess valid driving license [by JPJ i.e. B2, D]
  • Willing to work on rotating shifts
  • Relevant working experience and computer literacy would be an added advantage
